Is there a hadith that relates to a husband needing the permission of present wife to marry 2nd wife?<\/p>","answer":"

Praise be to Allaah. <\/p>\r\n

There is no hadeeth which states that, and it is not conditional for the husband to have his wife’s permission to take another wife. But it is in everyone’s interests for him to try to get her consent, because this will help to reduce problems in the marriage.<\/p>\r\n<\/span><\/div>\r\n
