Praise be to Allaah.   <\/span>\r\n

Among the names of Allaah are the names al-Khaaliq and al-Khallaaq. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): <\/span><\/p>\r\n

“He is Allaah, the Creator [al-Khaaliq], the Inventor of all things, the Bestower of forms. To Him belong the Best Names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify Him. And He is the All\u2011Mighty, the All\u2011Wise”<\/span><\/p>\r\n

[al-Hashr 59:34] <\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n

“Verily, your Lord is the All\u2011Knowing Creator [al-Khallaaq]”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n

[al-Hijr 15:86] <\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n

“Allaah is the Creator of all things, and He is the Wakeel (Trustee, Disposer of affairs, Guardian) over all things”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n

[al-Zumar 39:62]<\/em> <\/span><\/p>\r\n

One of His attributes is that of creation. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): <\/span><\/p>\r\n

“Surely, His is the creation and commandment. Blessed is Allaah, the Lord of the ‘Aalameen (mankind, jinn and all that exists)!”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n

[al-A’raaf 7:54]<\/em> <\/span><\/p>\r\n

One of His actions is that He creates. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): <\/span><\/p>\r\n

“And of everything We have created pairs, that you may remember (the Grace of Allaah)”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n

[al-Dhaariyaat 51:49] <\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n

“Verily, We have created man from Nutfah (drops) of mixed semen (sexual discharge of man and woman), in order to try him, so We made him hearer and seer”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n

[al-Insaan 76:2] <\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n

“And your Lord creates whatsoever He wills and chooses”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n

[al-Qasas 28:68]<\/em> <\/span><\/p>\r\n

One thing concerning which there can be no doubt is that at every moment Allaah creates whatsoever He will of people and animals and inanimate objects; that includes newborn children and the young of animals. Every verse in the Qur’aan that mentions Allaah’s creation of mankind points towards that which is mentioned in the question. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Ibn Hazm said: <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Allaah did not cease to create after the six days, rather He says (interpretation of the meaning): <\/span><\/p>\r\n

“He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n

[al-Zumar 39:6] <\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n

“And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth).<\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n

Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman).<\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n

Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So Blessed is Allaah, the Best of creators”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n

[al-Mu’minoon 23:12-14]<\/em> <\/span><\/p>\r\n

All of this is something other than those six days. It states clearly that Allaah created after those six days and that He continued to create after the creation of this world, and He will continue to create the blessings of the people of Paradise and the torment of the people of Hell forever, without end. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Al-Fasl fi’l-Milal wa’l-Nihal<\/em>, 3\/34 <\/span><\/p>\r\n
